Our Vision and Philosophy
Caring Therapy is the foundation and cornerstone of our therapeutic work. As clinical practitioners in the healthcare and social services fields, we deeply respect and honour the courage, resilience, and strength it takes for individuals to reach out and ask for support. We understand that taking this step is not easy and often feels intimidating.

Our approach draws inspiration from mythical creatures, particularly the phoenix. The phoenix is said to undergo cycles of rebirth, emerging stronger and renewed from the ashes of its former self. This powerful symbol represents renewal, resilience, and transformation—qualities we aim to nurture in our clients. Like the phoenix, personal growth involves embracing healthy challenges and rising above adversity to find empowerment and focus.

At Twin Solas Therapy, we view our work with clients as a journey of renewal and connection. Together, we explore past experiences, understand the paths that brought us to where we are, work toward building emotional well-being and a life of fulfillment. Our philosophy is rooted in fostering hope, self-discovery, and growth as we guide clients through their unique journeys.
"Rise from the ashes, there is light"

About Us
At Twin Solas Therapy, we aim to meet where our clients are at, both figuratively and literal. We recognize the on-going demand for tele-health services as it supports the schedules and needs of the clients in a way that suits them best. One of our most unique platforms is offering in-home therapeutic treatment. We are eager to support and provide care to those who may struggle to schedule an in-office service due to mental health reasons, financial limitations, familial needs and employment scheduling. The comfort of one's home can further support the quality of engagement and treatment at the control of the client (individual/family/couple). Please note, this service is only offered in the Niagara region, Ontario. Please see the list below of locations. An standard in-home fee will apply.

Tele-health Therapy
This is offered in the comfort of your own home, or in a private setting of your choosing. Please consider your comfort level, the specific location of your session, those around you and ensuring your network offers consistent wifi services. In addition, the tele-health platform is secured and meets PHIPA compliance in Ontario.

In-Home Therapy
This treatment allows the therapist to provide service within the home of the client. This service is offered in the following areas: Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Fort Erie, Port Colborne, Wainfleet*, Welland, Pelham/Fonthill, Thorold and Niagara-on-the-Lake*
*Service fee is $5.00 addition to the standard in-home service fee. This will be reflected on your invoice.

Jeffrey G. Charboneau, RSW, MSW, BSc, BA
Jeff is a compassionate and dedicated clinical social worker and therapist specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Informed Care. With a focus on family systems, child and adolescent therapy, individual therapy, and developmental disabilities, Jeff brings expertise in behavioral management and interventions to his person-centered, evidence-based practice. His approach emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and communication to meet each client's unique needs and goals.
Jeff’s inspiration for his work is deeply personal. His twin sister, Jessica, acquired a brain injury at six months old, leading to lifelong medical and developmental challenges. Witnessing the resilience and perseverance of his family instilled in him a profound understanding of accepting life’s most difficult realities with grace and strength. This experience shaped his commitment to supporting others on their journeys toward healing and growth. Jeff’s practice, Twin Solas Therapy, reflects this dedication, with "Solas," the Gaelic word for light, symbolizing his Irish cultural roots and the grounding, authentic beauty of Ireland.
Jeff currently works as a Level II Therapist, for a leading mental health clinic in the Niagara region, Ontario. He enjoys working for children and families within the region. He is grateful and humbled by the opportunities to connect with community partners to integrate resource pillars for the public.
